Updating to 2 2 1
This is why Apple introduced the new, lower cost 2017 i Pad 5 model, in April Apple is trying to get older i Pad 2, 3, 4 and 1st gen Mini i Pad users to upgrade to more modern i Pad hardware in anticipation of i OS 11, which will render all older 32 bit i Devices obsolete. While I have an i Pad Pro, my wife and I have still been happily using our older i Pad 2 and 3 models with i OS 9.3.5 for well over a year now, with NO issues!Your i Pad 4 got one more round of i OS upgrade/updates!So, welcome to the older i Pad generation using community group!
So, welcome to the older i Pad generation using community group! I just found out that my i Pad does not meet the 11.0.3 update requirement. The i Pad 4th generation is ineligible and excluded from upgrading to i OS 11With the introduction of i OS 11, ALL support for older 32 bit i Devices and any i OS 32 bit apps has ended. The new 64 bit coded i OS 11 ONLY supports newer 64 bit hardware i Devices and 64 bit software, now.
To do so, you may have to connect your device to a computer, navigate through i Tunes to device settings and restore from there.
Some users have suggested trying to reset network settings by going to Settings Reset Network Settings.
The i Pad 4 is incompatible with this new i OS, now. Your i Pad 4th gen will still work and function as it always has, but will no longer receive any more app updates sometime in the foreseeable future.
The 4th gen i Pad has had over 5 years of i OS upgrades/updates The final app updates your 4th gen i Pad will receive will be its last!
We've also personally experienced issues with Wi-Fi connectivity that may or may not be related. It's also uncertain how widespread these issues are, so upgrade to i OS 12.1.1 and above with caution.
